Adam works with Cesium’s 3D graphics team on Cesium’s future looking runtime integrations, open standards, and  interoperability which will help enable our vision for 3D geospatial for the open metaverse. Adam’s work will impact interoperability between open standards, and how the Cesium platform and 3D Tiles are streamed to runtime engines for visualization, analytics, and simulations. 

Adam has a breadth of experience within the industry stretching from 2D and 3D real-time graphics on the web to offline rendering complex 3D scenes. He is passionate about using graphics to create visualizations that help to reduce workloads and improve communication. He has helped build various 3D and immersive experiences, including at Thomson Reuters and Target, where he worked on Target’s AR app.

In addition to having a wide experience professionally shipping 3D software, Adam is an active contributor to a variety of open source projects and open standards groups. In the summer of 2022, The Khronos Group recognized Adam for his contributions to open standards with a Khronie Award. Adam firmly believes that open source software and open standards are essential to the wide success of both Cesium and the industry at large.

Adam holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Computer Science from Georgia College & State University, and a Master’s of Science Degree in Human Computer Interaction (VR/AR Concentration) from Iowa State University.

In his free time Adam enjoys reading, fly fishing and ice fishing, and playing video games with his family and friends.
